There are a lot of scary games on the Google play store. Some of
them are downright terrifying, while others are not scary at all. Here
we are going to list the scariest games on Android and what makes them
better than the rest of games out there in the wild. These games offer
everything from witches to zombies. They also offer the guns and magic
to take out the bosses that wish to devour your character in a most
gruesome manner. So, without further ado, here is our list of top scary
games on Google play.
Omen is a fantastic scary game. It is a H.P. Lovecraft feeling that
offers striking visuals and sound effects. In Elder Signs: Omen, players
will enter into a museum. Once inside, the players find themselves in a
whole lot of trouble from the many arcane exhibits that are being
featured. The player must rally a team around them to help fend off the
nightmares which now haunt the museum. The game plays on a dice roll
basis, making luck as valuable an attribute as any other skill that the
player possesses. The game is streamlined from the board game look and
feel that it tries to mimic, and the map is interactive, making it
easier for the player to make choices. The graphics are eerie and
haunting, adding just the right amount of chills to help flesh out the
mood. Elder Signs: Omen is developed by Fantasy Flight Games and is on
sale for $3.99.
Into the Dead is the ultimate Zombie survival game on android devices.
At the beginning of the game, players find themselves in the middle of
the woods, surrounded by Zombies. Armed only with an assault rifle,
players have to choose to stand and fight or run for their lives. The
game offers the running mechanics found in games like Stickman, but it
also offers a first person shooting mechanism, meaning that if you got
the ammo, you can make a stand. Otherwise, running is probably the
better option. Players will be able to unlock different weapons and
items by collecting coins. Coins can be found in the levels or can be
awarded at the end of completing a level. The weapons offer a cool
visual if done correctly and exploding barrels can take out a horde of
Zombies in a most glorious manner. Into the Dead is developed by PikPok
Games and is currently free on the Google play store.
The Abandoned School is a point and click game with a healthy side dish
of horror. Murder has taken place in the school and it is up to the
player to solve the case. The player takes on the role of a student
whose girlfriend and brother have been murdered. The game's visuals are
extremely striking, creepy, and disturbing as you wander the halls in a
starkly contrasting black and white color scheme. The audio is worthy of
being played on a home theater setup, so please if you choose to play
this game make sure to do it justice by using headphones. The point and
click controls will allow the player to interact with the environment
and solve puzzles. The game will also make use of tilt controls on a
tablet or smartphone to allow the clearing of obstacles and advancement
in the game. The further a player advances into the school, the scarier
the game becomes. On the app page for the game, the developers have
uploaded a small walkthrough that offers tips on how to survive the
horror that the school has in store. The Abandoned School is developed
by Voolean and is currently free on the Google play store.
The Horror Game
is an indie title that offers up the scares as players are tasked with
retrieving bags of cash that have been stashed inside a haunted house.
The game seems to be real simple, until you run into the bodiless,
bloody ghost head that roams the halls of the house. This game can
really get scary, as players move through the house hunting the money,
all the while being chased by the ghost. Players who feel like they have
gathered enough cash can start to look for the exit. The game has the
ability to randomize where the money and helpful items are throughout
each play-through. The graphics offer a spooky atmosphere and the sound
effects are really well made for such a small budget title. Controls are
simple, using tap and touch as well as swipe and tilt. When wandering
around the nightmare infested house, players will find useful items like
keys, which will open safes as well as spiritual eye that will allow
the player to see where the ghost is to try to avoid that area. If a
player gets too close to the ghost then it is game over. Eyes: The
Horror Game is developed by Paulina Pabis and is free on the play store.
